To Henry's Family:
I am so sorry to learn of Henry's passing -- we only just emailed each other recently during the holidays and I had no idea he was ill. I will miss our internet friendship of many years and his forwards of funny and often political jokes. We shared a lot of interesting information regarding the recent election.
As a child, growing up in Great Neck, I remember going to the Party Shop often for greeting cards, etc. Henry was always friendly and helpful. He even assisted my Mother and me when we picked out my wedding invitations.
My Mom, Gloria Vort, and Henry had many good times together and even knew each other back when they were wheeled together in baby carriages on the Upper West Side of Manhattan back in the 1920's. We enjoyed Henry's company for several years at our family holiday celebrations. He always brought something sweet like Krispy Kreme Donuts or chocolate turkeys from Lazar's for Thanksgiving! I will think of Henry every time I look out into my backyard at the stone lion that was once his.
May your fond memories be a source of comfort during this difficult time. Please accept my sincere condolences and know that my thoughts are with you.
