Herbert Machschefes Obituary

MACHSCHEFES-Herbert. Joined his beloved wife Hilda in heaven on December 22, 2001. He is survived by his sister Gisela Nollstadt, his two children Karl Machschefes and Nora Soares, both of West Sacramento, and five grandchildren. Herbert was born in Berlin, Germany, on August 15, 1913. He lived, worked and married in New York City from 1949 to 1964. He worked as an International Financial Officer for Sumitomo Bank and retired in 1982. He was a member of the Green Mountain Club in Vermont. Memorial Services were held on Thursday, January 24, in San Francisco.
