I worked with Hugh 31 years ago and rarely a day goes by that I don´t think fondly of him. We managed to work hard and laugh heartily. There was nothing I wouldn´t do for that man. That´s the yardstick of a great boss...managing employees in a way that made you want to go the distance because you knew your hard work was valued and appreciated. A gem of a boss and a kind human. Thanks for
Setting the bar high, Hugh.

Still can´t believe he´s gone. My current career takes me out East during the warmer months and I always think of Hugh when I find myself on Dune Road. I can still see the twinkle in his eyes. Condolences to all he held dear and the many lives he touched.

Please share this with Alexandra if possible:
Alexandra, you likely do not remember us, but we met your Dad and Mom shortly after you were born, and are truly sorry to hear of his passing. This is very late in arriving, because we just heard this news. Every time we spoke, he was glowing with pride at what a wonderful young woman you have become. We have fond memories of you and your parents, and have the greatest confidence you will carry on their excellent legacy in the years to come. Sending hugs and love your way...

I had known Hugh for over 40 years. He was a man of the keenest intellect with a kind, generous and adventurous spirit.
We have lost a special man, even more unique in today's world.
Thank you Hugh for being my friend and rest in peace.

Hugh was a remarkable man with an incredible intellect. I had known him for over 35 years. He had an engagingly warm personality and was a very empathetic person. He will be missed by all of us who had the opportunity to know what a uniquely fine man he was.

I was fortunate to have worked for Hugh in the late 80's until my first child was born in 1991. He was the best employer I have ever had the privilege to work with. He was brilliant with a keen sense of humor. I have never laughed more or enjoyed going to work as much as I did with Hugh. His wealth was not determined by his financial status but by his depth of character. A great all around regular guy. A prince. He will forever have a place in my heart and the unchallenged title of BEST BOSS EVER.

I had the privilege of working with Hugh for almost 14 years. His wisdom, humor and world view always made me feel better whenever I saw him. Hugh had a way of focusing on the most important pieces of an issue, no matter how confusing or emotional the discussion. He lived life to the fullest and will be greatly missed by all who knew him. My condolences to his family.

I had the pleasure of working with Hugh over ten years ago and still remember our talks of surfing, his fondness for fast cars and life in general. He was just a great guy one loved to hang out with.
He will be truly missed

I first met Hugh in 2002. Hugh helped my partner and me establish our business and he was a steadfast supporter through good times and bad. Hugh's unfailing honesty and friendship will stick with me in perpetuity. Hugh was truly a unique sole with a tremendous intellect that was eclipsed only by his heart and unmatched spirit for a life well lived.

Hugh's accomplishments were many. But for those lucky enough to know him, he was a really good guy, kind, supportive and humble.
