Ian was a handsome, charming, generous man. He taught his younger cousin Anne when she stayed in Cape Cod how to eat lobster, and showed her the places of interest to go. Treasured memories of Ian.

Ian’s legacy is one of generosity, competitiveness, honor and charity. For my 20+ years of working with him and his family, he became a mentor and confidant. My holiday lunches with him will be sincerely missed.
My deepest condolences.

My mother was Ian's father's sister. I met him for the first time in New York in 1968, when he welcomed me and helped me travel to his parents' home in Cape Cod. He visited Scotland with his Dad on a golfing holiday in 1981and met the rest of his cousins. We found him charming and full of fun. I am very sorry to hear of his passing, and wish to extend condolences to his wife Ellen and son Alexis.
