JAN JOSEPHS

JOSEPHS --Jan Lester. Jan Josephs, born on September 5, 1947, passed away suddenly on August 26, 2022 at the age of 74. He was born in Brooklyn, NY to parents Bernard and Miriam Josephs. His family moved to New Milford, NJ in 1957 where he shared a wonderful childhood with his brother. After graduating from Fairleigh Dickinson University in 1969, Jan decided to join his father and brother in the family business Joseph's Brothers Embroidery. Jan spent 40 years in the garment industry, 38 of those years with Joseph's Brothers Embroidery. Jan would tell you his greatest accomplishment was his family. He was the proudest father and grandfather and would tell anyone who would listen about how wonderful each family member was. Jan was extremely well-loved by his community. When Jan was not with his family, Jan would spend time at the golf course or The Gym. The Gym was his second home as he was a devoted member. Jan is survived by his love and life partner Laura Leoniti; his brother Burt Josephs spouse Marlene Josephs and daughter Molly Josephs; his four beloved children, Bret, Derek, Taryn Spencer and their respective spouses, Darren and Dani, and his grandchildren, Scarlett Dane and Daisy.
