JAY STEMPEL Obituary

STEMPEL--Jay E., 96, died of natural causes on January 20, 2025 at his Gloucester, MA home. Born in Manhattan and raised in Great Neck, NY, he was a graduate of The Choate School, Muhlenberg College, New York Law School, and Whittemore School of Business. He served in the U.S. Army as an Instructor in Logistics. His business career in commercial real estate investment and development spanned 65 years. Primary business associations included Arlen Realty and Development Corp.; Federated Realty, a division of Federated Department Stores; and McKettrick-Williams, Inc. Friend to many and mentor to many, his was a full life, well lived, in all the ways that matter most. Survivors include wife Jane, daughters Linda Lichtenstein, Rochelle Stempel, Nancy Diamond, and Jennifer Stempel, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family, and devoted friends. Funeral services have been held.
