Jeffrey Roberts was my 4th and 5th grade teacher at Flower Hill Elementary School in the late 70's and to this day I still have the best memories of those school years - memories which have truly influenced my life to this day, almost 35 years later. He had an amazing gift of being able to make learning fun and to do it in a way that made you feel that you were a part of something great - almost magical! I am a huge fan of the music of the late 70's mainly because of the fact that the music brings back the memories of this time in my life. My thoughts and prayers are with Mr. Roberts' family and friends.

I am representing the Class of '62 from Seward Park HS. Jeffrey was an Alumnus. We are planning our 50th Reunion and have been finding members of our class. We have been looking for Jeffrey for a while. We are so sorry that he recently passed away. It would have been wonderful if he could have joined us for the reunion in May 2012. We will be acknowledging our deceased Alumni In Memoriam at the Reunion. If you would like further information on the reunion itself, please contact me at [email protected]. We remember Jeffrey with found memories.

a truly gifted teacher who had so much fun teaching and made learning and going to his class one of the most positive experiences I ever had in school. Thanks for always caring about your students and making my 4th grade experience unforgettable. Such a creative fun loving soul. How lucky I am to have had Mr. Feuerman/Roberts impact my life. Im so sorry he is gone, but never forgotten! You will be deeply missed Jeffrey Roberts!

My Condolences! He was my favorite teacher. I had him in 5th grade. I'll never forget every Fridays the whole class had hot chocolate. Everyday he would stand by the door and greet each student and he would always look at my hands and tell me how long and beautiful my nails were. He worked so hard when he directed Romeo & Juliet play. He was a wonderful person and has never & will never be forgotten.......Devi Nunez-Metzger(Deer Park, NY)

Mr. Roberts directed me in a few plays during my time at Schreiber High School. He was an enthusiastic and respectful artist who honored the talent of his young actors. Such great memories, thank you Mr. Roberts!

Although I never had him for a teacher, Mr. Roberts had directed a play we had in 6th grade on Abraham Lincoln. I can still recall parts of that play, rehearsed with his passionate desire for perfection, always with a positive attitude and uplifting energy. A definite role model for all that followed.

Jeff/Mr. Roberts was a wonderful teacher and mentor for those of use who were taught by him and involved in his countless theater productions in Port Washington. While he was never my teacher, I had the privilege of working with him on many productions throughout my high school years; and appreciated that even as teenagers, he treated us like the professional performers he expected us to be. The lessons that he taught me personally served me well into my adulthood as I continue to perform and remain successfully involved in the theater world.
Jeff, you will forever remain firmly rooted in our collective memories. My thanks and blessings to you as you now take your eternal place among the heavenly stars.

I had Mr. Roberts in 4th grade. His class was so much fun. He was a great teacher who knew the benefit of a fun relaxed class with engaged teaching. I remember the day he came into class and announced he had just heard a song on the radio and he was sure it would be a hit. It was Don McClean's American Pie - I had heard it that morning also and thought wow we have something in common!

I had the privilege of learning from Mr. Roberts twice - he was my 5th grade teacher back in 1974-75, and he directed the Schreiber HS production of Candide in 1982. I'll never forget when he managed to get our little class in to see Harry Chapin perform just for us. Not sure how he swung that one, but wow! Mr. Roberts will be missed, but he lives on in the fond memories of his students. My family's condolences go out to all of his family and friends.
