I went to Saint Ignatius Grammar School with John Callagy close to 70 years ago. He sat behind me in class. About 15 years ago, I called him on the telephone to renew old acquaintances. I also met his brother Robert Callagy when Bob played golf as a guest of Frank Dinger at the Westchester Country Club. I was very sorry to see that ALS took his life at age 77. Rest in peace.

So very sorry to hear of John´s passing. As a fellow Georgetown classmate, I remember him as extremely intelligent, very well spoken and very caring and compassionate person. I know how hard it is for his family and close friends. We miss him already.

We were so sorry to hear that your dear husband and father passed over the last few days .We had the pleasure of meeting Mr Callagy in London and at St Mary's School Ascot where the girls were pupils. I have fond memories of babysitting in the late 70´s and early 80´s for the Callagy kids. "Mr Callagy" (still weird as an adult to call him John) would drive me home (usually after Saturday Night Live was over) and was always interested in what I was up to at Middlesex and then DHS. My condolences to the family.

We are so sorry to hear about the passing of John. He was a wonderful person and I will always have very fond memories of him on our shooting trips in South Carolina. He always brought a very interesting and funny perspective to our conversations. I was always impressed with his atheleticism, his energy, and his sense of humor, not to mention all the free legal advice! He will be greatly missed. - Matt
