JOHN VERONIS

VERONIS--John J. The Metropolitan Opera mourns the death of John J. Veronis, who was a distinguished member of the Board for close to three decades. Mr. Veronis was first elected as an Advisory Director in 1992, and was a fervent opera lover and tireless advocate for the work of the Met, warmly welcoming friends and colleagues to opera performances often each season. He will be remembered for his wise counsel, his devoted Board service, and his interest in making opera accessible through far-reaching education programs.
