JOHN VERONIS

VERONIS--John. The Technion - Israel Institute of Technology and the American Technion Society (ATS) express profound sorrow at the passing of our friend and supporter John Veronis of New York. He was a member of the Technion Board of Governors, and his beloved wife Lauren is an alternate member. Renowned for his business savvy and broad scope of influence, John quickly grasped the importance of the Technion's partnership with Cornell University to establish a graduate campus on Roosevelt Island, and was instrumental in introducing former Technion President Peretz Lavie to New York civic, business, and philanthropic leaders. In 2017, he and Lauren co-chaired the Technion World Tour Gala in honor of former NYC Mayor Michael Bloomberg. The Veronises' support for the Technion includes graduate fellowships, and they both received a Technion Honorary Fellowship in 2019. We extend our heartfelt condolences to Lauren, and the entire family.
