I still expect to see Kahlil passing my living room window on his way to the corner store to buy his ice cream. One could set one's clock by him. He waited at the door for Jean to return from swimming. In my mind's eye, he is in familiar places. Rest well, Kahlil.

I miss you, still, Kahlil each time I look at the picture of you, Jean, and myself.
Such an outspoken, talented, and honest man you were [and still are].

Kahlil's passing was nearly one year ago. The street is not quite the same, but my smile still comes when we pass the house and think of him. Inevitably, we see him making the short trip to Casa Cuong for a pint of ice cream..a small smile on his face and a quick spring in his step. Love to Jean, Nicole, Frank and the boys on this anniversary. With fond remembrance, Alice and Colby Andrus

Dear Jean,
Although I never had the pleasure of meeting Kahlil, this online guest book has allowed me a peek at the wonderful man he was. I am so happy to know that your soul mate was such a vibrant, interesting, intelligent, and talented man who cherished family and friends. I wish you strength and peace, and I offer you support and friendship as you grieve his loss.

Dear Jean:
Kahlil was a charmer when I first met him in the late 60s while we were at the Bates. He was that same delightful charmer when Bill and I met him as late as Feb. 2007 at the St. Botolph Club.
We will miss the "gentleman with the permanent twinkle in his eye."

We will remember Kahlil, Nicky, Frank, the boys and especially you Jean, in our prayers.

I did not know Mr. Gibran personally, but I attended Our Lady of the Cedars church for many years. Mr. Gibran's statue on the hill still moves me every time I see it. It was the only thing that brought me some measure of peace and comfort the day we buried my father. My sympathies and prayers to his family during this difficult time.
