L. LITMAN Obituary

LITMAN--Lamont Antonio. L. Antonio Litman, 55, of Brooklyn, passed away on January 20, 2020. He was born on May 13, 1964 and raised on a farm in Berkeley County, SC by his grandparents. After graduating Baptist College in Charleston, SC, he moved to New York in 1984. He started his long and outstanding shipping career of almost 28 years at International Registries, Inc. in 1993. After starting in the mail room, he worked his way up to Office Manager and Assistant to Clay Maitland, one of the Managing Partners. His generosity, warmth and vivacious spirit contributed to the growth and success of the company, advancing the maritime programs of the Liberian and Marshall Islands Ship and Corporate Registries. When Clay's mother, Mrs. Virginia Maitland Sachs, passed away in 2004, Antonio felt inspired by her giving spirit and founded Virginia's House of Hope (VHOH) in her honor. VHOH distributes school supplies, toys, food and clothing to families in the New York area. It also provides scholarships to young people from underprivileged backgrounds who wish to pursue a career in the maritime industry. He is survived by family, friends and associates, who will miss him greatly but will carry on his work for our group of companies and for Virginia's House of Hope. Antonio maintained a network of friendships all over the world; he touched a great many lives and made the world a better place for so many. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Virginia's House of Hope, www.vhoh.org

You were and always will be one of God's most precious works; perfectly flawed in your own right. Antonio, thank you for inspiring me to be better. Your infectious laughter, generosity, wisdom and "reading" sessions at the round table will be missed. You were one ol fierce cookie my friend! Job well done. Give Derrick and Romell a big hug&kiss for me. Until we meet again, rest on Shaquan. xoxo

Oh Antonio, I don't know how to thank you enough for all you did for so many families. You were a giant among men and no one will ever fill the hole you have left. Prayers of love and sympathy to all your friends and family, especially Clay. May your memory be for blessing. Love, Rhonda and Audrey

To my Cupcake❤
Thank you for celebrating mommy and putting a smile on her face while she was here to appreciate. Your acts of kindness were priceless! Your infectious smile and personality was one of a kind. You took care of us your bk/nj girls...we appreciate the many hours of round table discussions , hard talk, mixed with laughter, tears and good ole southern food...You were not selfish and had a beautiful heart and gift of giving...we could let our hair down and be transparent and you the same...we were each other's sounding board...you gifted us your personal prayer that you said we must start and end our day with.
We have so much unfinished business...
(Our Vision Board party)
I will carry you everywhere I go because you have a piece of my heart...Love You until we meet again
Lisa (Ms Sleepy)❤❤
