LEONARD POLONSKY

POLONSKY--Leonard. Friends of Bezalel, Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design Jerusalem, and Bezalel UK mourn the loss of dear friend and constant supporter Dr. Leonard S. Polonsky CBE, whose vision through decades of support from the Polonsky Foundation nurtured and strengthened innovation in Israel, especially through establishing the Polonsky Department of Industrial Design at Bezalel. Dr. Polonsky received Bezalel's highest honor equivalent to an honorary doctorate, and his generosity inspired countless artists and designers to pursue their dreams. May the memory of his wise nature and loving spirit bring comfort and blessings to his family, friends, and future generations, including his beloved wife Dr. Georgette Bennett, his children Marc, Alan, and Nicole, and his stepson Joshua-Marc Tanenbaum.
