Mr. Pearce, your business acumen, community leadership and cultural philanthropy were admirable. More so in my family, because you helped a young Cuban refugee executive on his way up in the world get his first big opportunity while you were Chairman of the Board of the American Hospital Group. That man was my dad who recently shared the wonderful story about his first meeting withyou and about your interest, support, and recognition. Thank you for giving him that opportunity. My dad fulfilled his end of the deal as a hard-working, honest and beloved executive in that hospital group and mentioned your successes in business and healthcare over the years. Peace and love be with you always.
