I came across some notes from my sessions with Marc. Immediately, it was like he was here, understanding and insightful about complex interpersonal situations, with a bit of acerbic wit. No one can replace him. May he rest in peace!

There is not a day that goes by that I don´t think of Marc´s humanity, empathy and wonderful sense of knowledge. I get a post from Oxford on instagram and know that he will always be with me.

Marc was truly amazing. He was a friend, teacher, and father figure to me. He would bring art, science, and philosophy to every conversation. He changed so many lives, mine included.
"We are all part of the cosmos." Wherever you are Marc, thank you for everything you did for me. Hope you are happy and know that your legend lives through all the lives you have changed. You are dearly missed.

Marc was my therapist for over 20 years. It was a total shock to my system when I googled him to learn of his passing. I was texting with him the day before he passed, and 6 days later I was sitting on my sofa waiting for his call that never came. But this not about me. Marc helped me so much I could never repay him. He saw me through many things, family and non-family matters. He was so smart and analytical yet also so empathetic and passionate. I never met Marc outside of our sessions, but after 20+ years, you know someone. And although we never socialized together, I regarded him as my friend. And I am so grateful that this past Christmas I told him how much he meant to me and how much he had helped me. Life is different without Marc. I have no idea re the cause of his death. I hope it wasn't painful. I feel blessed to have known Marc.

OMG - he was a dear friend and my doctor for years. I just checked because I hadn't heard from him. OMG He was such a good soul, and great Dr. I hope I meet him in heaven and that his passing was painless. Just a total shock and heartbreaking that I won't be talking to him, again. Someone needs to call his patients, finding out by chance by doing a google search is too sad. RIP dear Marc. I'll never miss a therapist the way I'll miss you. Thank you for everything. Bless your soul and send me a sign that you're happy.

Marc was a sensitive, compassionate and intellectual man. He was a talented therapist and mentor. He loved to teach and was a role model at the psychoanalytic institute where he directed for many years and offered valuable insights to his patients. His love and help over the years will never be forgotten. My condolences go out to his family and friends on his sudden passing. God bless!
