MARIO D'URSO Obituary

d'URSO--Senator Mario, died peacefully in Rome on June 5th 2015. He was born in Naples on April 8th 1940 to Sandro d'Urso and Dame Clotilde Serra di Cassano, a direct descendant of George Clymer, a signer of both the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution. Mario came to America to study law at George Washington University and, in 1968, started his career as a banker at Kuhn Loeb, later Lehman Brothers. In 1994, back in Rome, he was appointed Under Secretary of Commerce and, in 1996, he was elected to the Senate of the Republic of Italy. He was unique in combining his civic and corporate responsibilities with mingling in the international jet set. He was generous and compassionate, well-known and well-loved: he will be sorely missed.

Thank you, Jim. I miss him! I am proud to be his daughter. Here is a pic of the two of us 8 weeks before he died. Handsome and stylish as always.
