MARSHALL GOLDBERG Obituary

GOLDBERG--Marshall, 92, on October 18, 2021 from complications after surgery. Survivors include his beloved wife of 58 years, Gale Robinson, cherished sons and daughter, Andy Goldberg, Jon Goldberg and Nancy Goldberg, adored grandchildren Amy Morrison, Charlie Goldberg, Isabel Goldberg, Lucy Goldberg, Mark Nagrodzki, and Maya Goldberg, and great-grandchildren, Brody and Piper Morrison, and Charlotte Nagrodzki. Marshall loved his life. He took great pleasure from the Yankees, the Dragons, hot pastrami (fatty never lean), dry martinis (up, 3 olives, 1 ice cube), and all popular music written before 1956. Above all, he loved being with his family and friends, hosting Thanksgiving, running his Seders, and summers in Italy. He will be missed by many. Service Thursday, October 21, 11am, at "The Riverside," 76 St. and Amsterdam Ave. Burial at Beth David Cemetery. Donations in his memory may be made to the Marshall Goldberg Scholarship Fund,

Marshall, I think of you often. The times we went out to eat and talked about everything. Rest in heaven!

I have very very fond memories of Marshall-that line in the obit: ` Marshall loved his life´ captures him perfectly. He loved his family, did so much good in the world and enjoyed himself. Such a good man!

Marshall was a special person. I admired him for his love of people and to help anyone. I will miss you and our time eating out and having stimulating conversations. Rest in Peace!

I was so very sorry to learn of Marshall´s passing. For nearly 20 years Marshall was a favorite work colleague-a man of endless energy, dedication and drive. He clearly loved what he was doing: he loved helping others.
That was all true, but what I will remember most about Marshall is his deep love of his family: those famous children and grandchildren were the center of his life-a full life he shared with Gayle in the city while making plenty of room for their home away from home in Italy.
He was a lucky man and a good man.
He will be missed.
