MARLOWE--Martin. Our hearts are broken by the loss of our beloved Martin Marlowe, who loved with his whole, powerfully gentle heart. For more than 41 years, he adored, cherished and was madly in love with his wife Mary. A proud, devoted father to Bruce (Pam), Miriam z"l, and Josh (Margie); a generous, treasured stepdad to Jennifer Bender (Andrew), Julie Freiman (Ed) and Lisa Freiman (Ben); a magical, attentive and precious Papa to 13 grandchildren. Son of Henry and Molly and brother to Richard z"l, Martin was raised in Brooklyn and was a graduate of Ohio State University in 1955. With a tireless work ethic, he embraced life with determination, enthusiasm, humility, integrity and respect. Working in the apparel industry for over 50 years, he owned his own business, and in 1991, joined Jones New York Apparel Group, retiring in 2005 as Executive VP of Manufacturing. His laughter, wisdom, kindness and curiosity were constant and his passions were many: traveling, fishing, cooking, volunteering, reading, friends, art, opera, music, and connecting with his Judaism, all with Mary by his side.
