Dear Cathy,
I am so sorry for your loss. Matt was always brave and funny! I remember when he and my son, Lauren Yuhasz, were growing up so many years ago. Elementary and junior high -- seems like only yesterday. The memories will sustain you along with all of your good friends and family. It is a long lonely journey when your child is sick. The grieving happens to some degree before the loss but, nonetheless, the loss is so painful you can hardly breathe. I miss my son every single day but am greatful for every day we had him and I know you feel the same way too. With love to you and your family. Linda Black

Dear Cathy --
So sorry to hear about Matt. I remember when, to my horror, Jagger, our German Shepherd at the time, chased Matt down the stairs from his aunt's apartment in our home on Stadium -- fortunately, nothing serious happened. I also remember the book, *Soup to Nuts." Ann's mother is in a nursing home now with Alzeheimer's, and her father died in July with cancer. And, I'm just a shriveled up 87-year-old woman! (That's my daughter's e-mail address below.)

We were saddened to hear of Matthew's death. It was our privilege to know him in his "growing-up" years with our son Matt. The photo of the 2 Matts before the prom (at out house) is a treasured memory.
Our prayers are with you at this time of tremendous loss.
With sympathy

Sharing my sympathy to Cathy and Jenny at this time. I remember his courage, fun and positive spirit while growing up together in Ann Arbor.
May the memories of Matthew provide you with thoughts rays of sunshine through the days to come.

Dear Cathy, Jenny and family, I was sad to hear the news today, but over the many years (since Matt and Steven were in Bader School), I always have thought of Matt, of his sweet and brave nature. I was also sad (for me) that Cathy went to New York, and Jenny... and of course, Matt. Individually you each are lovely people, and as a family, there are few that have done so much, so unassumingly. I will always remember you, and Matt.
