Melissa was my roommate in college, and she remained a friend for so many years. I will miss her humor, her wisdom, and her honesty. I love you, my sweet Melissa.

Melissa and I lost touch years ago, at her request. But today for the first time in quite a while was the urge to search for her. So she and I have a connection.
She was wonderful in elementary school, wonderful in college, and wonderful since. Do identify a single characteristic, her sensitivity, which appeared in a great many interrelated Tonalities, hues, greys, Blends and contrast, and intensities. She was creative with her sensitivities as with everything else.
Some people story is having overcome, which she also did, but Melissa was wonderful and fine at least since fourth grade.

Dear Chris,
I read Melissa's obituary in this morning's Times with sadness. On the very few occasions that I met her, she seemed to me a kind, generous, smart woman, and an exemplary wife to you. Please accept my condolences for your loss. I wish you the strength to mourn well and to accept the support of those closest to you.
I remember you with affection and esteem.
