As his second cousin and six years his junior, I knew Michael for 70 years. His parents, Harry and Carey were frequent visitors from their Jackson Heights apartment to ours in Forest Hills. In addition to being incredibly smart, he was forever jovial and amiable. He loved a good joke, told a good joke and did a great impression of "Mr. Tudball" (Tim Conway´s character on the Carol Burnett Show). He was incredibly generous and even allowed me to drive his prized Corvette when I was only 15 and had no license. A car lover himself, he accompanied me when I bought my first car. I was fortunate to be a frequent guest at their dinner table with he and Toby, a gourmet cook. I admired their marriage, a most well-matched pair and well remember the birth of their first child, Joey. I´ll also never forget that Toby, a quick wit herself, remarked that in order to drive anywhere Michael had to go back to Jackson Heights first. He will be sorely missed. - Joe Waldbaum
