Of all the friends I've met over the years it took just two for Mike to be one of the best I will ever have. Mike and I went through a lot together and i don't know where I'd be without his friendship. To the entire Pawlowski family my thoughts and prayers are with you.

Elaine and Dave,

I was fortunate to spend a delightful evening with Michael in NYC in July 2005. He was kind to accompany me to a Shakespeare in the Park performance of "As You Like It." We spoke of our mutual fondness for all things French. He was quiet yet engaging, clever, and extremely polite. I wondered if he felt uncomfortable to go to a show with an "older lady," but he warmly told me that I reminded him of his Aunt Karen. That made me very happy. He was a great kid.

My heart goes out to you.

Mike was a great friend from college. He had the ability to make me laugh at any point. His humor and character will never be forgotten. He will be missed greatly. Sincere condolences to his family.

I knew Mike very well, we first met in college and we kept in touch until very recently. He was possibly the most charming person I've ever met, and definitely the first person for whom I was totally overwhelmed with feelings of love and respect.

He was incredibly articulate, to a thrilling degree... just to sit with him for a bit and take in his social observations and insights, his relentlessly absurd sense of humor and his knack for processing all forms of culture (from the highest brow to the lowest) was enough to permanently alter your perspective on the world.

Beyond his creativity and his linguistic talents in English, French and German, he also had the capacity to truly excel in business, and this not a common coupling. Without a doubt, Mike could have succeeded in any forum or medium to which he was dedicated. Likewise, he could win over anyone who interested him. Whenever I struggled to express an idea, I always felt like Mike would be able to understand what I was getting at.

Anyone who ever loved Mike undoubtedly felt, at some point, that they were privileged to be in his company. It's really hard to come to terms with the fact that this privilege is gone.

I mean... it's been a privilege, sir.

My sincere condolences to Dave, Steve, Mr. and Mrs. Pawlowski.

I'm so sorry to hear that Mike passed away. I had only met Mike a couple times, but he had an infectious smile and laugh, and was a warm individual who could befriend anyone. In the short time I knew him, I can already see how much he will be missed
