MIRIAM FLASCHNER Obituary

FLASCHNER--Miriam. Miriam Flaschner, 70, passed away on September 7th at her home in Hackensack, New Jersey. Miriam worked for the Dell Publishing Company for 15 years and continued to work for the Delacorte Family for 35 years. Miriam was devoted to her family, her career, her lifelong friends and her many business associates throughout the years. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the HUMC Foundation, restricted for the use at the John Theurer Cancer Center for research of stomach cancer, P.O. Box 55366, Boston, MA 02205; Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, restricted for the research of stomach cancer, 1275 York Avenue, New York, NY 10065 and to Rabbi Mark Wildes, Manhattan Jewish Experience, 131 West 86th Street, New York, NY 10024. Service at 10:00 a.m., Sunday, September 9th at "The Riverside," 76th Street and Amsterdam Ave, New York, NY. Interment immediately following at Beth-El Cemetery, Washington Township, NJ.

Miriam shared her life and her heart with so many of us in Oradell. Our family will always remember her cheerful presence and wonderful stories at holidays dinners and Halloween parties. Ben and Becca will remember her at school events, always encouraging and caring. Miriam, thank you for adopting Oradell and our family. You will be missed.
