MORTON DAVIS Obituary

DAVIS--Morton J.,

On December 1, 2018, Morton J. Davis died peacefully at home. Born May 3, 1924, he spent his childhood in Brooklyn, New York. After attending James Madison High School and Dartmouth College, Mort served in WWII before returning home to get his MBA from the Tuck School of Business and launch a successful career in the furniture business. Mort was an avid reader, book collector, a gifted athlete, and an emphatic sports fan. Mort spent many happy summers on Eastern Long Island with his beloved wife, Elly. Mort was predeceased by his wife, Ellen Kresberg Davis. Mort is survived by his step-children, Robert and James Kresberg, his children, Richard Davis and Susan Davis, daughters-in-law, Sarah Kresberg, Dana Seshens, and Ina Davis, and seven grandchildren.

I will miss my dear friend of over 40 years terribly. We shared many great adventures together. He was my mentor, my rabbi, my trusted confidant, and my friend. My most sincere condolences to his family.
