(May 19, 1935 - October 9, 2018). Myron Cohen died peacefully in his home the morning of October 9, 2018 at age 83. He was living with his wife of 54 years in a home they had built together in 1976 on Lloyd Neck in Huntington, NY. He leaves his wife Carole Cohen, son Laurence Cohen, daughter Deborah Cohen, granddaughter Lillian Goldner, and sister Judy Wisnia. Myron Cohen was a devoted husband and father. His family was a strong focal point and his devotion as husband and caregiver to his wife Carole quite extraordinary. As a young man, he attended Boston Latin School, Harvard University and Harvard Law School, where he put himself through school writing plays and doing stand-up comedy. During his career, he worked as a trial attorney, first on Cape Cod, then in New York at Conboy, Hewitt O'Brien & Boardman, where he made partner, and finally at Hunton & Williams, where he was a partner, trial attorney, and head of the award-winning pro-bono efforts. During his working years and well beyond, he wrote, directed, and acted in the annual NYC Bar Association plays, in which he led lawyers/aspiring actors in musical parodies which roasted notable members of the Bar like Rudy Giuliani and Ed Koch. After retiring from this effort, he continued to write plays and enjoyed painting, driving cars, particularly his "vintage" Jaguars, and dining out with his lovely bride, who was, to the end, the love of his life. His extraordinary care-giving efforts were returned in kind by daughter-in-law Jessica Cohen, whose dedicated efforts helped to support both Myron and his entire family during the final year of his life.
