And, I remember that fun Xmas Party (we must have had a good year!) @ the Hotel Mandarin on Park Ave. S., and paying the DJ $20 to play `Save Room´ by John Legend (`cause the guy in the mailroom, Francois (?) and all the `hip´ assistants and the receptionist (worked/works with Heidi the former Greenwich pers. shopper who does great stuff with subs. housing now after being `discovered behind the Schraft´s counter) liked it) and then dancing with Daun to it (I think the DJ played it twice ?);
plus, their wonderful and elegant and so very well thought out summer parties in Bedford where entire families were welcome - so very rare then and now but the very right thing to do).

June 1, 2024. I think about and talk about Peter and Daun all the time. The honey/allergic reaction `and how ultra-amazing a wife Daun is´ to save his life (with a big assist by Martha S. in the ER parking lot); the `ethical elbows´ Thurs. 8 AM plea, and so many others. `Hi´ to his great asst., Charlene.

Without both of us knowing Peter back in 1979, we likely would never have met and been married for almost 40 years. Can never forget him in this life. Our condolences continue to Daun and their family on the anniversary of his passing. Fascinating man with many interests, and an inspiration on how to live a life.

Peter (and Daun) - I was always very proud to work for and with them ((and Brian of course as well). You always knew Peter mentally had a million and one things going on in the background of his mind at any one time and yet without exception every interaction whether serendipitous, sudden or other, Peter always and I mean always stopped in his tracks looked you straight in your eyes laser focused and smiled and listened and then I always salked away wondering to myself if what the heck I added to his day was worth his interruption or not. Peter was an ultra ultra gerat guy and gentleman and we at Eastern Consolidated never wanted to tarnish or otherwise sull his, Daun’s and Brian’s huge goid will and ethical elbows as Peter said once in a Thursday AM staff meeting. He provided more than a few references for me between Madoff and the present and I could always count in him and Karlene. My favorite Peter staff meeting opening: ‘If any of you are thinking like Daun and I did to take a day and hit the mile long strip of great antique shops in Hudson NY then we would advise you all not to do it on a (it was either a Tuesday or a Wednesday) because THEY ARE ALL CLOSED THAT DAY!’.
