Philip Clark Obituary

CLARK--Philip. We at 133 East 80th Street pay tribute to our long-time President, who for 41 years called our building his home with Irene, his dear wife of 52 years, and their devoted children, Jim and Jo. An individual of uncommon talent and extraordinary wisdom and insight, Phil was not only our neighbor, but a friend to us all, touching each of us in his own special way. We shall sorely miss him, yet more importantly, we join his family in celebration of an outstanding life marked by principled comportment, unusual achievement and unflagging generosity. Board of Directors 133 East 80th Street Corp.

I worked for Phil for 6 years at Wertheim and it was my absolute pleasure to know him, at time he could be tough as nails but we all knew he had a heart of gold. Even though I had not seen him in many years or kept in touch he will be missed by many. My condolences to the entire family, may his memory live on with you forever. All my best Laurel Tobin

Philip was a lifetime friend. As a fellow anayst we traveled the worlds of electronics and wine together for many years. His good humor and ability to tell great stories are the things I will miss most. My condolences to the whole family, he was one of a kind.

Phil Clark was an EAG (Electronics Analysts Group) founder and past President. At Burnham & Company in 1960’s he was among the first electronics analysts to recognize the investment significance of integrated circuits at Fairchild and Texas Instruments. He helped introduce US technology investing to European investors. A mentor to many, he will be missed.

My sincere condolences. Phil was a "senior analyst" when I joined the EAG (Electronics Analyst Group) in 1968. He had a great reputation on Wall Street and was very nice to junior analysts.
