Philip is so missed. The last of the true and honorable gentlemen. A man of the highest Integrity, Kind, Generous, Wicked smart, and adored his family. He was a treasure to know. Dear Gail, Philip has been my mentor and a good friend when I started my career in New York in 2005. His intelligence, tactful and strategic thinking and ideas has made my two years working with him the most rewarding experience of my career life. He taught me to be proactive, explorative and critical, and he is a man with a generous and warm heart, a trustable friend. I am really sad to learn about his passing away at such a great age today. My deep condolences and he will live in my memory all the time. I will tell my kids about his story when them grew up.

It is shocking to hear the news of Philip passing away. Too young. He promised me that he will come back to Japan with his wife so that I as a national certified tour guide providie them with my tour guiding service in my retirement life. One day trip to Kamakura, one of the ancient capitals of Japan with Phil I had in 2013 is an unforgettable memory. May His Soul Rest In Peace.

Philip was one of the greatest human beings I have ever come to know. He had a lightness if the heart that he expressed with a patience and generosity unlike that of anyone I've known. Those of us who are left from Babcock & Brown will miss you terribly. You were such a wonderful friend. I remember how you gave me room, and $500 to tide me over during my divorce. What an amazing person, and when I tried to pay you back, you just told me to take in stride. I love you, and hope that your soul can get some rest.
I also send my love and gratitude to your wife, Gail. I hope she was at your side. I had a few moments at your Tuxedo house, and it was great! I will miss you in Hawaii, where I am now ensconced as an old lady.

The world has lost a shining star! The kindness and joy that Philip brought to so many - including hundreds of friends of his across the University of Minnesota and dozens of "brothers" from the SAE fraternity at the University are symbolic of Philips rare ability.
