PHILIP ROSEN Obituary

ROSEN--Philip. JBI International, Inc. (Established in 1931 as The Jewish Braille Institute) deeply mourns the passing of longtime Trustee and Honorary Officer, Philip Rosen. Together with his beloved wife Rita, he was instrumental in supporting some of JBI's most important programs, which today help 35,000 blind and visually impaired children and adults around the world. No one knew better than Mr. Rosen, who developed Macular Degeneration later in life, what a difference JBI could make to the lives of the blind and visually impaired. The Rosen family has been, and still is, an ongoing inspiration to all of us. Our thoughts are with Rita, Phyllis, Michael and their extended families, including the family of the late Wendy Rosen Landes. We will mourn him but we will forever be blessed by his memory. Judy E. All the Teasdales send their condolences to The Rosen family. My dad, Arnie, especially sends his thoughts to you, Rita and Michael and we are recalling with fondness the years both families worked together at The Springs. Phil lived a wonderful and full life and he will be missed.

I just heard of Phil's passing and remember with fondness my limited time with him. First and foremost was being the ring-bearing at his and Rita's wedding and second, many years later, touring Baltimore. I also value how good he was to my dad, Irving in my father's last years. My prayers go out to his family.
