My (Great) Aunt was an incredibly colourful person. From as early as I can remember she was at the center of all family functions she attended or held. I remember at 12 her yelling and taking to task a Parisian store owner who tried to charge me far too much, then afterward taking me to a far nicer place and getting me way more than I ever asked for. When I asked why she said 'why not?'. Aunt Phyllis could be the best advocate or your worst enemy, but she was never anything but loving to me. I will miss the commentary that she added to everything and the time I spent with my cousins at her place in the summers. Childhood wouldn't have been the same without her presence. Goodbye Auntie.

This lady was treasured as a friend. I shall not forget the many volunteer years we spent working together on so many projects for Temple Israel, especially those that provided services for the children of Staten Island.

I am so sorry to hear about Phyliss's death. Although we have not seen one another for about a year, my memories about her and the family remain fresh in my mind. The work we did together at the Temple, the family get-to-gethers, her fine mind before the Alzheimers, her tireless work on so many projects....may she rest in Peace. She shall be missed!
