RICHARD FAUST Obituary

FAUST--Richard N.,

died in his home of 50+ years in Little Italy on April 13, 2015. He is survived by his extended family in California, who fondly called him Nick. Rich, as he was known by friends and colleagues, was a graduate of John Jay College, and completed two Masters degrees at Columbia University. A sociologist, a dancer, a frequent theater patron and a lover of the occult, Rich made a mark on everyone who knew him. Although it's been years since Faust (as we knew him) passed, I knew him to be a gentleman. Easy-going and quiet, he was a pleasant neighbor. I had the pleasure of including him in on a meal or a two during superstorm Sandy where I had the opportunity to learn little bit more about him. Writing this now because his name came up in a conversation. Unfortunately, I didn't know this page existed before today.
My husband knew him for decades since he grew up in the building where Faust lived on Mott St.
I wish Faust is resting in peace and want to extend condolences to his family and friends.

My deepest condolences to your family during this most difficult time. There are no words that can ease the pain of losing someone so beloved. May you find comfort and peace in knowing that your loved one is in God's memory, because those who pass on are precious in his eyes. Psalms 116:15.
