It's hard to believe that Dick (My mentor) is gone 14 yrs. He took me under his wing at Career Club in 1970 and made me into the person I am today. He had the confidence that I would be a success and gave me a territory in New Jersey. I didn't disappoint him. Because of the opportunity he gave me, it opened the door for other lucrative positions going forward. I'm not that little kid of 23 yrs old anymore. I'll be 78 in January and retired in Naples, FL. I still have and cherish a letter Dick sent me in 1981 when I moved on from Career Club to a prestigious position at LEE Jeans. What I have today, I owe to Dick. When you get older, you have a tendency to think about old times and I do reminisce about my great years at Career Club. I miss you Dick.

I find it hard to believe that Dick has been gone 13 yrs. I think of my Career Club Days back in the 70's quite often. I remember how raw I was back then and how Dick saw something in me that no one else did. First thing he did other than groom me as a salesperson, he took a boy and made him into a man. Honestly, everything I have today is because of the utmost faith Dick had in me. I'm so lucky and proud to have known him.

Dick was such a wonderful person, and was always the level headed thinker in our Career Club Shirt Company. He taught me so many things that are still with me today, only thing missing is his presence.....which I always depended on in the past. It's an honor to have had him in my life.

Dear Rena,
My heartfelt love to you and the family. Dick was the greatest person I have known in my lifetime. There hasn't been a day over all these years since Dick and I worked together that I haven't thought of him. The world lost a great man, and I lost a very, dear friend and mentor.

Rena, You and Dick were the happiest couple I know. My heart goes out to you now at this time of sorrow.
Dick was profoundly loved by you and his family and he knew that was true. As the obituary said, He will always be with us. What a wonderful legacy he has in your wonderful family. Love, Cathleen

Dear Rena....My heartfelt condolences. My name is Mel Greenblatt. You may remember me. I was this young kid who started with Career Club back in 1970 and Dick was my "Mentor". He gave me my first opportunity into the sales world, giving me a New Jersey territory. I owe my success to the faith that Dick had in me. I loved his knowledge, intelligence and sense of humor. He was the "Best Boss" I ever had. I was so sad to hear he had passed.
