ROBERT HAZEN

HAZEN--Robert G., passed away on January 29, 2026, at the age of 91 in Brooklyn, NY. Born on February 22, 1934, Robert dedicated his life to public service and the law, notably serving as a lawyer for the Federal Environment Protection Agency in New York City for 30 years. Robert was an analytical and articulate man who brought these qualities to his extensive career, working for city governments in various locations before his long tenure with the EPA. He was a graduate of Wesleyan College, the University of Michigan, and Temple University, where he honed his skills and knowledge that would later greatly benefit the public sector and environmental protection efforts. Aside from his professional life, Robert was an avid sports enthusiast, enjoying basketball, tennis, and golf. These activities reflected his competitive spirit and dedication to health and fitness. He is survived by his loving wife, Pamela Kerns, his two daughters, Leslie and Carol, six grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Carlton and Maisie Hazen, and his brother, Carlton Hazen Jr. A celebration of Robert's life will be held at Cobble Hill Chapels in Brooklyn, NY, on February 8, 2026 from 1pm to 4pm. His life's work and commitment to his family and community will be remembered and cherished by all who knew him.
