ROBERT WILMERS Obituary
The Board and Staff of Lincoln Center Theater were deeply saddened by the sudden passing of Robert G. Wilmers, a longstanding and devoted member of our Board of Directors, whose prescience and acumen as Chairman and CEO of M&T Bank were acknowledged throughout the banking industry and whose impressive civic leadership was greatly admired. Bob was an impassioned advocate for the arts, and we at Lincoln Center Theater were honored to have his friendship and support. As Bob's first cousin, I can only express my profound sorrow to Bpb's family. Although we were not in contact for many years, my wife and I are grateful that we met in Buffalo last August, and along with our grandson Alex, were able to spend an evening with Bob.
