I had hoped that you would be at your 75th Smith reunion this weekend . we would have been lodged in adjacent dorms and could have reminisced again about that enchanting alumnae trave! trip to Switzerland and Italy. I will miss you! RIP. Janet

I was extremely sad to hear about Mrs. Gold's death. She always encouraged me to call her by her first name but somehow I never got there. Being a person who subscribes to the direct method, I really appreciated her candor. I had many wonderful visits to Brooklyn, learned a great deal about the jewish faith, was terrified of her driving, loved her generosity and loved the fact she had birthday that was easy to remember. I will always think of her as rushing up those front stairs in her Brooklyn house. I truly am very sad and really wish I had picked up the phone a little more often. Sending much love to Matthew and Jenny and family! XX0

Growing up on E. 22nd Street, and as a classmate of Dan's at Poly (and later Penn), I would visit the house on E. 17th Street. Babs was always gracious and she was true royalty of Brooklyn. She will be missed.

So sad to lose a good neighbor and theater buddy. Ruth was one of the longest Ditmas Park residents (I believe the Golds moved in after WW2).
The family home was on the next block, and we got together periodically for theater. Still mentally very sharp, it was a pleasure to be in her company. She will be missed.
