Sondra Gonzalez-Falla

GILMAN GONZALEZ- FALLA--Sondra. The Board and Staff of Lincoln Center Theater were deeply saddened by the passing of Sondra Gilman Gonzalez-Falla, a great friend and champion of our Theater for many years. Sondra was a devoted member of our Theater's Board of Directors from 1987 to 2003 and has continued to be involved as a loyal Patron with her beloved husband Celso. Sondra's enthusiasm and advocacy for the arts, and in particular, for musical theater and photography, were impressive, and even inspirational. She applied her abundant passion, intelligence and vision to serving the arts and our community through her leadership on our Board, as Chair of the American Theater Wing, as a longstanding Whitney Museum Trustee, as Chairman of the Sondra and Charles Gilman Jr. Foundation, Inc. and as President of the Gilman and Gonzalez- Falla Theater Foundation. Sondra's warm and elegant presence at our Theater and in our audience will be deeply missed. We are honored that her name, and that of her late husband Charles Gilman, Jr. will continue to grace our Patron Room in the Vivian Beaumont Theater. Our heartfelt condolences go out to our dear friend Celso, to Sondra's children, step-children and grandchildren, and to her extended family and circle of friends. Eric M.
