SUMNER GLIMCHER Obituary
of NYC, 93, died February 27, 2018 in Colorado. Born 1924, Winthrop, MA, WWII veteran and Purple Heart recipient, post-war he served in Allied Forces Military Government, sending war criminals to Nuremberg. Harvard class '48, professor at Harvard, Columbia, and NYU. Filmmaker and author, member of Dutch Treat, National Arts and Harvard clubs of New York. It was serendipitous that we found that Sumner lived near us in Westminster West, twenty years ago; a distant cousin, who became a part of our lives. We loved having him join our get togethers and just stopping in for breakfast. He always provided everyone with interesting conversation. We miss him.
