Christopher "Chris" Allen Cantrell

January 12, 1961 - August 12, 2021

Christopher "Chris" Allen Cantrell, 60, passed away in peace on August 12, 2021. Chris is survived by his children, daughter Mary Beth Cantrell, son Justin Cantrell and fiancee Kylee Carleton, son Jonathan Cantrell and fiancee Summer Walters, and four grandchildren Blakely Cantrell, Austynn Mary-Mae Cantrell, Annistyn Carleton, and Bentley Cantrell, his mother Sandra Cantrell, his siblings Greg Cantrell, David Cantrell, and Angela Cantrell Ingram and husband Richard Ingram, and many nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Chris was born in Alexander City, Alabama, but lived most of his life in Opelika, Alabama. Chris was a jack of all trades. He was a mechanic, carpenter, landscaper, and tree trimmer. He enjoyed being outdoors, especially the beach and the mountains. He loved telling stories and sharing dad jokes. He had a great sense of humor and loved to make people laugh.

A private memorial service will be held in his memory.

So sorry about your dad. I was thinking about him just the other day when I was looking at the pecan tree on which he climbed way out on one of its limbs to trim it. He was pretty brave!
