Funeral services for Mr. Dale Omarr Jackson, of Auburn, AL will be 3:15pm, Saturday, August 27, 2022 at Jeffcoat-Trant Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 1:00pm prior to the service. Dr. Rusty Sowell is officiating.
Mr. Dale Jackson, who died Wednesday, August 24th, 2022 was born December 21, 1960 in Okinawa, Japan.
He is survived by his loving wife, Cathleen Blumenthal of Auburn; his former spouse and the mother of his beloved daughters, Tammy L. Jackson of Opelika; daughters: Samantha Jewel Jackson of Auburn and Lindsey Danielle Jackson of Opelika; stepdaughter Erin D. Blumenthal (Thomas) of Opelika; stepson Adam Blumenthal (Heather) of Pittsburgh PA; his beloved siblings, sisters: Debra Weldon (Jerry) of Tallahassee, FL, Kimberly Adams (Derek) of Opelika, AL; brothers: Neal Jackson (Pati) of Tallahassee, FL, Eric Jackson (Robbie) of Opelika, AL; four dear grandchildren; many special nieces and nephews; all of his dear friends and family from BF Goodrich; and his Tallapoosa River family. He is preceded in death by his father Haward Jackson and mother Nora Jackson.
Dale was a devoted and dedicated employee of Uniroyal (BFGoodrich) tire factory for 28 years where he served as the Divisional Chairman/Benefits Representative later in his career.
Anyone who knew Dale knew his love of hunting, fishing, and camping. Particularly catching stripe on the Tallapoosa River where he spent most of his free time. He loved the outdoors and his life's moto was "Waste not, Want not." Whenever camping he would always tell us to pack it in and pack it out; To not leave anything but a footprint.
He will be missed dearly by his family and friends.
