JOHN STAMPS Obituary

JOHN RANDOLPH STAMPS TALLADEGA - Funeral service for John R. Stamps, 57, will be today at 2 p.m. at Midway Memory Garden Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Kenny Price officiating. The family will receive friends today from 1 to 2 p.m. Mr. Stamps died April 4, 2011 at Brookwood Medical Center in Birmingham. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He was a Talladega Police Officer; and he, also, worked for the Talladega Sheriff's Department. He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Enid Stamps. He is a native and lifelong resident of Alabama. He is survived by his loving wife, Deborah Stamps; two sons, Glendale Smith and Eric Stamps both of Columbiana; one brother, Gary (Doran) Stamps of Birmingham; two nieces; and two nephews. In lieu of flowers you can send contributions to your local Animal Shelter or the Center for Battered and Abused Women and Children. You can send the family your condolences at [email protected]. Midway Memory Gardens Funeral Home will direct the service.
