JOHN RANDOLPH STAMPS TALLADEGA - Funeral service for John R. Stamps, 57, will be today at 2 p.m. at Midway Memory Garden Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Kenny Price officiating. The family will receive friends today from 1 to 2 p.m. Mr. Stamps died April 4, 2011 at Brookwood Medical Center in Birmingham. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He was a Talladega Police Officer; and he, also, worked for the Talladega Sheriff's Department. He was preceded in death by his parents, Samuel and Enid Stamps. He is a native and lifelong resident of Alabama. He is survived by his loving wife, Deborah Stamps; two sons, Glendale Smith and Eric Stamps both of Columbiana; one brother, Gary (Doran) Stamps of Birmingham; two nieces; and two nephews.
