Joan, Nevin, Glenda, Rebecca & Family,
Our family extend fund memories, thoughts and prayers to each of you during this private time of bereavement. As a family, we are grateful and blessed because "Joe & Joan" gave our family the opportunity to gain local employment. Most of our children earned their first paycheck from York's Sewing Factory. We are thankful because they learned strong work ethics and teamwork. From that employment opportunity blossomed a lifetime friendship. The Good Lord allowed "Mr. Joe" to enter into our family for a Reason, Season and Lifetime. We are blessed to have had a blend of all three and his is legacy will remain with us and our children. May the Lord continue to strengthen, smile upon and favor the York Family. God Bless You. ~Solomon, Bessie, Solomon Jr, Beatrice, Maxine, Curtis, Lois, Rufus, Samuel, Teresa, Herman & Shameka Mitchell.

Joan, Joe, Sharon, Joey and Whit,
Jim and I are so sorry to learn of your sorrow. Jim knew something was wrong one day but he did not know what. I just happened to see this and wanted you to know that you are in our thoughts and prayers.

I was sorry to hear of Joseph's death. I would like the family to know that my heart goes out to each of you during this time of grieving. Joseph lived just down the street from me when we were growing up and was the "little boy" in the neighborhood as he was younger than most of us. I remember his family well. Also remember fondly the 2000 school reunion when Joseph and Joan presented me with a beautiful jacket. Our prayers are with you.
