Dr. Robert William Heidepriem

Funeral service for Dr. Robert William Heidepriem, age 87 of Auburn is Friday, December 15, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. at Jeffcoat-Trant Chapel. Burial is in Town Creek Cemetery. Visitation is Thursday 6-8 p.m. at Jeffcoat Trant Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service on Friday. Dr. Heidepriem, who died December 12, 2006 at East Alabama Medical Center, was born September 20, 1919 in Flint, Michigan. He attended the University of Grand Rapids, Michigan and graduated with a degree in Pharmacy. He joined the armed services Navy Medical Corps in 1943. He married his wife Helen Hickman of Birmingham in 1946, then moved to Montgomery where he had drug stores and attended pre-med at Huntington College. He attended Medical School in Des Moines, Iowa, then completed an Internship and private practice in Flint, MI. Dr. Heidepriem was in private practice in Alex City and Emergency Medicine at East Alabama Medical Center, Montgomery, Eufaula and Lanier Hospitals. He was preceded in death by his son, Robert William Heidepriem, II. Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Helen Hickman Heidepriem of Auburn; son, Dr. Phillip M. Heidepriem (Kim) of Montgomery; grandson, Dr. Robert Heidepriem, III (Suzanne) of Birmingham; granddaughters, Deborah Jane Heidepriem of Auburn, Cynthia Louise Heidepriem of Auburn; three great grandchildren, William, Anna Kay, and Charles Heidepriem of Birmingham; daughter-in-law, Charlotte Heidepriem of Auburn and one sister, Alice Heidepriem of Defiance, Ohio.
