ROBERT WILLIAMS Funeral service for Mr. Robert Williams, 82, of Opelika will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, April 27, 2013 at Greater Peace Missionary Baptist Church with interment in Mt. Sinai Baptist Church cemetery in Auburn. Reverend Clifford E. Jones will officiate. Mr. Williams passed Monday, April 22, 2013 at the East Alabama Medical Center. He retired from West Point Pepperell. His wife, Mary Williams, preceded him in death. His remains will lie in state at the church one hour prior to the service. Survivors: three children, Robert L. (Georgia) Williams, Mary Julia Johnson and James W. (Rena) Williams all of Opelika; two sisters, Mattie Ruth Spencer and Mary L. (Richard) Walton both of Hartford, CT; a devoted grandson, Damien A. Johnson, Opelika; five granddaughters, Evvie Turner, Houston, TX, Pamela Williams, Angela Williams-Mills, Lakia Marshall and Samantha Brown all of Opelika; thirteen great grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren; four sisters-in-law, Johnnie M. Jackson, Christine Grady and Lucille (Rev. Lewis) McCants all of Opelika and Betty (Lee J.) Robinson, Fairfax; a devoted caregiver, Sarah Marshall Jones, Opelika; many loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Peterson and Williams Funeral Home
