WILLIAM "BILL" COLEMAN BOOTH, SR. Funeral service for William "Bill" Coleman Booth, Sr., 84, of Opelika is 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 18, 2012 at Jeffcoat-Trant Chapel. Reverend Randy Woodham is officiating. Burial will be held in Garden Hills Cemetery. Visitation is one hour prior to the service at Jeffcoat-Trant Funeral Home. Mr. Booth was born March 9, 1928 in Fredericksburg, VA. He died Monday, April 16, 2012. He was a 1950 graduate of Auburn University School of Pharmacy. Mrs. Booth was a licensed pharmacist for over 50 years and worked at Haynie's Drug Store in downtown Opelika and East Alabama Medical Center. A Veteran of the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict Mr. Booth was a pharmacist and Navy Corpsman. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Shirley A. Booth of Opelika; son, William C. Booth, Jr. (Lisa) of LaGrange, GA; daughter, Betsy Pitchford (Bryant) of Scottsboro, AL; grandchildren, Matthew Booth (Kathy) and Jessica Booth (Bruce) of Nashville, TN, Julie Noles (Korey) and Lindsey Bruce of LaGrange, GA, Ellie and Lewis Pritchford of Scottsboro, AL.; brothers, Herschel Booth (Ann) of Jackson, MS, James Booth (Joan) of Alexandria VA; sisters, Nancy Killian (Albert) of Opelika, Kathryn Booth of Opelika, Jerry Booth of Jacksonville, FL; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. H.A. Booth, Sr. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial gifts may be made to the Lee County Humane Society or First United Methodist Church, Opelika.
