Garion Dennis Brunson

ODESSA - Garion Dennis Brunson, 73, of Odessa, Texas, passed away on Sunday, August 28, 2022, in Odessa, Texas. Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, September 1, 2022, at Crossroads church with Reverend David Newton officiating. Garion was born in Dallas, Texas, to Roland and Helen Brunson on March 24, 1949. He went to school in Dallas, and then graduated from Texas Tech State University. He married Lorri Kelley on December 2, 1985, in Odessa. He was involved in Lions Club and many church activities. Garion was a highly successful Certified Public Accountant with his own practice for forty years. One of his greatest passions was serving as a Lion and raising money for the Texas Lions Camp for Children. He also loved being part of Retro at Crossroads, playing golf, his weekly breakfast and lunches with his buddies. He was a passionate fan of Texas Tech sports and the Dallas Cowboys. Family and friends were dear to him. Garion was preceded in death by his father, Roland Bryant Brunson; his mother, Helen Shelton Brunson Crow; stepfather, George Edward Crow; and his sister, Thelnita Brunson Fincher. Garion is survived by his wife, Lorri Kelley Brunson; sons, Jeffry Brunson and wife Julie, Joey Linney, Joshua Linney and wife Briana; daughters, JoyLynn Brunson and Sharee' Linney; siblings, Galand Brunson and wife Cindy, Roland Kim Brunson, Rolayne Brunson Campau, Bryantrina (Trina) Brunson Klecka and husband Joe, Ricky Brunson and wife Cordy, Eddy Crow and wife Ann, Greg Crow and wife Karla; brother-in-law, Larry Fincher and wife Lorinda; grandchildren, Matthew, Andrew, Bethany, Garrett, Jeffri, Prissy and Jenna; and numerous nieces and nephews. Honorary pallbearers are Dat Nguyen, Larry Lee, Brian Burney, George Bugg, Rodney Hurt, Joey Linney, Josh Linney, Manual Gonzalez, P.A. Lyon. Memorials may be given to Texas Lions Club Camp in Kerrville, Texas. Garion and Lorri's family look forward to visiting and sharing memories with you, his treasured friends, over the next few months.
