Randa Means Obituary

CRANE On Friday, May 1, 2009, at 10 p.m., Randa "Randy" Lee Means, 79, passed on peacefully to be with the Lord and his family. Randy was born in Trenton, Texas, on Sept. 20, 1929. He proudly served in the US Navy during the Korean War. After serving his country he became a Master Plumber for more than 40 years to provide for his family.

He loved to be with people and make them feel special. He also loved to golf, dance, hunting arrowheads and was an avid fisherman.

He was proceeded in death by his wife, Aleta Verlene Means; a daughter, Ronda Lee Means; his mother, Emily Elizabeth Means; father, Ben Means; and brothers, Azle, Bennie, Jack, Julian, and Bert Means.

He is survived by sisters, Mary Brookins and Lois Hunt, both of Denison, Texas; a son, Damon Means and his wife Renee of Crane; daughters, Aleta Means of Crane, Texas, and Vickie Jackson and her husband Bobby of Denison, Texas. Randy has seven grandchildren, Shannon Hernandez and her husband Sergio, Justin Beall, Amanda (Mandy) Sikes and her husband Scott, Dana Hall and her husband Steve, Ashley Jackson, Randy Means and his wife Lisa, and Derek Means; and seven great-grandchildren.

Randy will be laid to rest along side his wife and daughter at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Sherman, Texas with graveside services being held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, May 6, 2009. Honorary pallbearers are Justin Beall, Randy Means, Derek Means, Jackie Means, and Johnny Means.
