Virginia Briscoe Obituary
She was born on February 17, 1929 in Putman, TX to Thomas Earl Clemmer and Mary Ann Wilson Clemmer. She married Alton Briscoe on June 15, 1950 in Carlsbad, NM.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Alton Briscoe and a daughter, Virginia Mae, April 17, 1954 shortly after birth; brothers, Wesley Clemmer, T.E. Clemmer, Archie Clemmer; and sisters, Opal Meeks, Muriel Duncan, Burva McKelvain and Lela Mae Hull.
Survivors include daughter, Kathy Ellis of Odessa, Audrey Hart and husband Jim of Odessa; grandchildren, Carrie Chavira and husband Arlo, Karen Howard and husband Chris, Aaron Ellis and wife Melissa, Jack Hart, Sharon Whatley and husband Bo and Stacy Johnson and husband Gary all from Odessa; brother, Willie Clemmer; and sister Juanita Chipman; and eleven great-grandchildren; and one great-great- grandchild.
Pallbearers will be, Bo Whatley, Caleb Eilers, Larry Chadwick, Dale Chadwick, Jackie Smedley, Josh Chadwick, Mike McGough, Jack Hart, and Chris Howard.
Visitation will be Monday, August 17, 2009 at 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Vine Baptist Church, Odessa, TX. Service will be on Monday, August 17, 2009 at 4 p.m. at Vine Baptist Church with Emmett Barnard officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
