Alexander Spencer Obituary

Alexander David Spencer, 26, of Washington, died unexpectedly in his home, Friday, January 4, 2019.* He was born August 30, 1992, in St. Petersburg, Russia.* Mr. Spencer was a 2011 graduate of Trinity High School and attended University of Pittsburgh, Greensburg.* He was Orthodox by faith.* Mr. Spencer had a CDL license, and at one time worked as an over the road truck driver.* Most recently, he was employed as a cook in McDonald's on Chestnut Streeet in Washington.* Mr. Spencer enjoyed golfing with his father, playing scrabble and following NFL football.* He also enjoyed watering and taking care of his mother's plants at home.* Mr. Spencer will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved him.

He is survived by his father and mother, David L. Spencer and Aryiro "Sylvia" Spencer of Washington.* Also surviving are an uncle and aunt, John and Joan Brouzakis of Speers; uncle and aunt, Jim and Vanna Spencer of Blufton, S.C.; aunt Donna Andersen of Texas; uncle Rudy Dami of Avella; and godparents Mike and Donna Apostolakis of Monessen.* Several cousins also survive.

Mr. Spencer was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Emmanuel and Marika Brouzakis; paternal grandparents, Charles B. and Mabel Spencer; uncle Charles R. Spencer; aunt Sue Gump Dami; and cousin James Vaughn Spencer.

Friends will be received from 3 until 8 p.m. Monday, in Warco-Falvo Funeral Home Inc., Wilson at East Katherine Avenue, Washington, S. Timothy Warco, supervisor/director, Susan Falvo Warco, director, S. Timothy Warco II, director.* A Trisagion service will be held at 7 p.m. Monday in the funeral home.* Additional visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m., the hour of a funeral service, on Tuesday, January 8, in All Saints Greek Orthodox Church, 601 West McMurray Road, Canonsburg, with Father George L. Livanos officiating.* Interment will follow in Washington Cemetery.* In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to National Alliance for Mental Illness, 105 Braunlich Drive, Suite 200, Pittsburgh, PA 15237, or www.namikeystonepa.org.* Condolences may be expressed at www.WarcoFalvoFuneralHome.com
