Alice Bryan Obituary

Alice Irene Bryan, 90, passed away peacefully Sunday, July 17, 2016, in Bon Secours Maria Manor Nursing Care Center, St. Petersburg, Fla., surrounded by her loving family.
She was born July 20, 1925, in Washington, a daughter of the late James Kilgore and Rosella Ryan.
During World War II, Mrs. Bryan was a tack welder on Neville Island, outside of Pittsburgh.
She took pride in being a homemaker and in raising her two children. The later part of her life was spent with her husband, George, in St. George, W.Va., where she enjoyed gardening, baking and feeding the hummingbirds and deer that frequented their property.
Deceased, in addition to her parents, are her loving husband, George Bryan, and a daughter, Laura Thornburg.
Surviving are a daughter, Linda Pearson; four grandchildren, Carrie Strait, Tanya Gardner, Jayme Hofmann and Jeff Thornburg; and nine great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Bryan was a caring and devoted wife and mother. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Hi Linda. Sorry to hear of your mom passing. Don't know if you remember me but we lived near each other and we played together lots also went to school together. I've thought of you and wondered where you lived. My name is Patty Barnhart.

Irene was a kind and quiet lady. Although we'e kinda lost track of them, we'll miss her and George's visits to PA. Jim and Barb Howes (cousins)
