Alyce Harter Obituary

Alyce Jane Harter, 79, of Washington, passed away Sunday, October 5, 2025, in Kadima Rehabilitation and Nursing, Washington. She was born July 25, 1946, in Prosperity, a daughter of the late William Woods and Lillian Stenger Woods. Alyce was a graduate of Trinity High School. She was employed at her mother's business, New City Lunch, in Washington, was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and loved making ceramics. On September 27, 1968, she married Thomas Harter, who survives. Also surviving are a son, Thomas (Brittany) Harter Jr.; a daughter, Joanne (Lee) Sheets; two brothers, Jerry and Fred Woods; a sister, Diane Hughes; and many grandchildren. Deceased are her sisters: Nancy, Lillian, Sandy and Shirley; and her brothers, Bill and John. A chapel service will be held at 11:45 a.m. Friday, October 10, in Washington Cemetery. Everyone attending the service is asked to meet at 11 a.m. at Neal Funeral Homes, Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington, to process to the cemetery.
